Galway is the most beautiful city to visit in Ireland. Its university life and its proximity to the Cliffs of Moher are the two definitive reasons to make a stop in this city. That’s why, in this article, I’ll tell you how to get to Galway from Cork or Dublin.

It is important to know that, as a general rule, buying a ticket on the bus itself costs more than buying it online.

It is also important to know how long you will be in the city. Although it can be seen in a couple of hours, you’ll need to work out what you’re going to see and do in Galway during your visit.

Dublin is the capital of Ireland. As the most populous city, it has the country’s main airport and best combination of public transport to reach certain cities and towns.

Travelling by car is the most convenient way to get around Ireland. The distance between Dublin and Galway is just over two and a half hours. A car journey costs €23, including tolls.

The journey is mainly on motorways. To leave Dublin, you need to follow the N4 towards Galway. Continue on the M4 motorway and take the M6 exit. Continue here until the N6 exit towards Galway.
