Did you know that there is a food market in Mayfair that is located inside an old church?
One of the things I love most about the UK and Ireland is their small devotion to bringing old churches to life. From small holiday flats to coffee shops like Host Café, not to mention pubs and food markets like this one.
📍 Mercato Mayfair location
As its name suggests, Mercato Mayfair is located in the neighbourhood with which it shares its name. In addition to this market, the company has another one located in Elephant and Castle called Mercato Metropolitano.
🚌 How to get to Mercato Mayfair
Mercato Mayfair is located close to Hyde Park and Oxford Street.
The nearest tube stops are Bond Street (Central line and Jubilee line) and Marble Arch (Central line). You can also walk to Oxford Street (Barkeloo line and Victoria line). If you prefer to walk, from Green Park or Piccadilly Circus it’s only 15 and 20 minutes respectively.
🍴 Food stalls at Mercato Mayfair
The best thing about Mercato Mayfair is that it has food stalls to suit all tastes.
At Fresco, you’ll find authentic Italian pizzas. Pasta London is the perfect place for those who love fresh pasta. If you’re looking for sushi or poke, Raw Bar Mayfair is your place. Continuing with Asian food, Steamy & Co offers dumplings and bao buns. You can even have a Turkish pide at Lala.
There’s also a cocktail bar on the main floor and German Kraft Brewery, where you can enjoy a pint of German. And to end the day, how does Italian gelato sound? From Florence to London, Badiani brings us authentic Italian gelato.

🎡 Do I need to book at Mercato Mayfair?
You don’t need to book in advance at Mercato Mayfair. In fact, I don’t think it’s even possible to make a reservation. As it is a food market, it operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
