Snowshill

Snowshill, one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds.

Snowshill is rated as one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds. Some scenes from the first Bridget Jones film were filmed here, so why not come and explore it?

📍How to get to Snowshill

I haven’t really found a town from where you can get a bus to Snowshill. We rented a car for this route through the English countryside with Rentalcars, a comparison site that will help you get the best price.

After parking and walking to the centre of the village, we realised that you can park in the church square. In summer, I would advise you to park here 👇

🗺 What to visit in Snowshill

It’s a tiny village, located very close to Broadway, Stow-on-the-wold and Moreton-in-Marsh. It consists of just a couple of streets.

The centre of the village is concentrated in the square where St Barnabas Church, Snowshill’s church, is located. Here is one of the most beautiful – and photographed – places in the Cotswolds.

A little further afield is  Snowshill Manor and Garden. It can be visited from March to October, and admission is £8.2. More than a house it is a museum, with hundreds of objects, some even medieval.

🍴Where to eat in Snoswhill

There is only one restaurant in Snowshill: Snowshill Arms, a typical English pub serving local food.

🛌 Where to stay in Snowshill

Staying in Snowshill is not the best option for your trip. Firstly because there is hardly any accommodation in this village, and secondly because the few that are available are very expensive, compared to those in other villages such as Broadway.
